Technology Services Offices

The Technology Services Office was formed in July 2005 with the broad purpose of providing the technology support necessary to achieve the vision and mission of the Colleges of the Arts and Sciences. This office was established as a result of the 2004 Informational Technology Committee in its final recommendations. The remaining committee recommendations will be carried out by this office.

Our mission

  • to support the overall technology needs of ASC units,
  • to provide value-added technology products and services to the five ASC colleges,
  • to help reduce technology costs through collaboration whenever possible.

The ASC Units we support include:

Executive Dean's Office, Advising, Honors, Career Services, Diversity Services, Orientation, Curriculum, Assessment, Communications, Interdisciplinary Programs, ASC-wide Councils and Committees, Technology Services, and other special ASC programs and projects. We support a few university-wide programs as well: Freshman Seminars, Exploration, University Honors and Scholars Center, and groups involved with the Web Media Collective project.

Our 2005-06 work is guided by:

  • The White Paper forming the Federation of the Colleges of the Arts and Sciences
  • 2005-06 ASC Goals and Priorities
  • 2004 Informational Technology Committee's recommendations
  • 2004 ASC Tech Set-aside projects
  • 2005 ASC Tech. Set-aside projects
  • specific technology requests of the ASC Units
  • specific technology requests of the five colleges
