New leadership always brings change. Being able to tap into the vast talent within the university and the arts and sciences ensures positive, progressive change.
New students to campus will be welcomed by a variety of new majors and minors, captivating and challenging courses, all new freshman seminars, and service-learning opportunities.
This summer, Darrilyn Macklin, first-year Chinese major, spent a month in China exploring rural and urban cultures in Chengdu (southwest China).
Despite a life changing setback, Widomski graduated summa cum laude in fine arts, and then spent the summer on a solo, cross-country road trip.
Ian Howat, assistant professor, School of Earth Sciences, will receive a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) at a dinner at the White House.
