Scholarships and Grants
Each year the College of Arts and Sciences awards scholarships to currently enrolled undergraduate students. The following scholarship opportunities are competitive. Scholarships are open to undergraduate students who have a declared major in the arts and sciences and are currently enrolled on the Columbus campus. Click on the relevant link below for more information on available funding, the application process, deadlines, and eligibility requirements.
Merit & Need-Based Scholarships
Merit and need-based awards are competitive awards. These scholarships take into consideration criteria specified by the individual funds such as cumulative GPA and financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Research and Creative Activity Funding
Undergraduate students are encouraged to explore a research project. The College of Arts and Sciences offers funding to help address the costs that may accompany a research project or creative activity. Students are encouraged to contact their major department(s) and the Undergraduate Research Office for information on other sources of funding.
Study Abroad and Travel Funding
The College of Arts and Sciences offers scholarships for undergraduate arts and sciences majors who are participating in an OSU-approved study abroad program, or who have designed an independent study/research experience in conjunction with an OSU faculty member and for which OSU academic credit will be earned. College funding is also available for students in the arts who are traveling for research or scholarly/creative activity either in the U.S. or abroad. Students are encouraged to contact the Office of International Affairs for information on other sources of funding.

ASC Diversity Scholarships
Funding supports underrepresented student populations as specified by the individual scholarships.
Some departments offer funding for currently enrolled students. These awards may recognize scholarship, or support activities such as research and study abroad. Some of these opportunities are listed below. Students are encouraged to contact their major department for additional information.

Some student awards are designated for students in specific majors or groups of majors. If a scholarship indicates it supports students in a particular area of study, refer to the list of majors to clarify whether your major is eligible.
