This year the Symposium will be held on Friday, March 22, in 145 Mount Hall, 1050 Carmack Road (west campus). The symposium will include a presenation on the 100th anniversary of the 1913 flood. Known as the greatest natural disaster in Ohio history, The Flood of 1913 killed more than 460 people and destroyed more than 20,000 homes The Team of Silver Jackets includes: Sarah Jamison, service hydrologist at the National Weather Service office in Cleveland, Ohio; Chris Thoms, floodplain management program manager, Ohio Department of Natural Resources; Steve Ferryman, state hazard mitigation officer, Ohio EMA; Jim Noel, service coordination hydrologist, NWS, OHRFC, Wilmington, OH; and Julie Dian-Reed, service hydrologist, NWS Wilmington, Ohio. Registration for the symposium begins at 8 am. RSVP for the symposium is requested.
