The Queer Places, Practices, and Lives conference seeks to create spaces where scholars, students, community members, artists, and performers can interact and converse with each other about the latest queer scholarship, creative work, and activism. The inter-regional, international, and interdisciplinary scope of the conference is designed to enable a deep appreciation for the vibrancy, variety, and value of queer interventions and approaches. This event was founded in memory Samuel Steward in 2012 and continues to be supported by the Samuel Steward Fund. We are excited to welcome scholars, faculty, staff, graduate students, undergraduate students, artists, activists, teachers, social workers, community members and interested in discussing LGBTQ issues to Columbus in May to begin our second conversation around queer practices, places, and lives.
