Event Host: The School of Music

The School of Music will present its 20th Annual Music Celebration Concert at 8 pm Friday, November 30, in Mershon Auditorium. This popular musical extravaganza celebrates the holiday season and showcases the school's many performing groups from the OSU Symphony Orchestra to its Jazz Ensemble, Glee Clubs, Symphonic Band and much more, all presented in a non-stop collage setting.

This year, some of the selections will include Fanfare for a Festival performed by the Men’s and Women’s Glee Clubs and Brass Ensemble; the Symphony Orchestra performing Beethoven’s Overture to “Prometheus”, Op. 43; Herbie Hancock’s Watermelon Man performed by the Jazz Ensemble; the Chorale performing So I’ll Sing with my Voice; a Wind Symphony performance of The Pines of Rome; The Marian Tribes by the Percussion Ensemble; Collegiate Winds performing Tico-Tico; and the traditional Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah featuring the Symphony Orchestra, Men’s and Women’s Glee Clubs and the Symphonic Choir. Many other selections will also be included in the concert.

This year’s 20th anniversary concert is likely to be a sell-out. Tickets are available through the Wexner Center ticket office, $20 general public; $10 ConcertCard holders, senior citizens, Alumni Association members, non-Ohio State students; and children. The concert is free to all Ohio State students, faculty and staff, one ticket per BuckID, which must be presented in person, subject to availability. All seats are reserved.
