The 22nd Annual John Fergus Family Fund Scholarships open call for entries deadline is Friday, November 8, at noon.
The Fergus Scholarships and Scholarship exhibition is a juried competition open to all undergraduate and graduate visual arts majors. Ten students receive a $1,000 stipend, and their work is exhibited in the Fergus Juried Exhibition at Urban Arts Space downtown January 11-30, 2014, with their artwork included in the biennial Fergus-Gilmore Catalogue. A reception is scheduled for Saturday, January 25.
Students may enter online (http://artsandsciences.osu.edu/fergus-competition-application) until noon November 8.
The John Fergus Family Fund was established with gifts from John C. and Elizabeth O. Fergus in honor of their mother, Edith Fergus-Gilmore. It is the strong belief of the family, and the overriding philosophy of these awards, that it is important to give back to one's community.
