AAAS Distinguished Lecture Series: Jesse W. Shipley
Event Host: Department of African American and African Studies
The Department of African American and African Studies presents the Distinguished Lecture Series Event featuring Jesse W. Shipley, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Anthropology at Haverford College. Dr. Shipley will give a talk titled "Celebrity Rapture: PARODY AND DIGITAL MEDIATION IN WEST AFRICAN POPULAR MUSIC”.
Dr. Shipley will also do a special presentation of his film “Living the Hiplife” from 5:15 p.m - 7 p.m. Scott Lab, Room 48.
