The emergence of early Israel cannot be understood without looking inside and outside the Hebrew Bible through the broader Mediterranean context. Dr. Ofer and Professor López-Ruiz will discuss how textual and archaeological sources can inform the debates about early Israelite history, and how the biblical narrative of the conquest of the Land and the archaeological findings relate to each other.
