Jon Chopan received his MA in history form SUNY Oswego and his MFA in creative nonfiction from The Ohio State University. His writing has appeared in journals such as Glimmer Train, Redivider, Hotel Amerika, and Drunken Boat, and he has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. His first book, a novel in short stories titled Pulled From the River, is forthcoming from Black Lawrence Press in 2011. Jon is currently working on a new collection of stories set in Rochester, New York during the later stages of the Cold War. Jon is a visiting lecturer at The Ohio State University at Newark.
