Grading to Learn
Event Host: University Center for the Advancement of Teaching
Have you ever used a rubric that produced a grade that felt wrong to you? Do you ever sense that students are not quite sure what you want them to get out of an assignment? Join Writing Across the Curriculum to discuss “Grading to Learn” on Friday, March 22, 11:30 am-1 pm, 150 Younkin Success Center. In this workshop, we will take participants through a grounded process of identifying grading criteria – “dynamic criteria mapping” – that more closely aligns with what you, as an instructor, value with regard to your students’ work.
