Hopkins Hall Gallery Summer Series presents Making a Meal by Jeni and Forrest Gard.
Making a Meal is a participatory installation that transforms Hopkins Hall Gallery into a place of gathering. To encourage thoughtful eating, visitors will be invited to share a meal with the artists by first removing food from it's original packaging and then placing the food on handmade, ceramic vessel. The installation asks visitors to consider how art can be a means for social change surrounding our shared food system. The project is presented in conjunction with a Sustainability Lecture Series on Wednesday, July 9 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The exhibtion will be on view from July 8–16, 2014, Tuesday – Friday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
