Michelle will be present for a public reading and book signing Ace of Cups in Clintonville on Sunday, March 1, 6:30-10 p.m. Live music provided by The Little Project, bottleflies, and Foreign Excellent. BBQ available until 8 p.m. from Ray Ray's. Michelle Herman is the author of the novels Missing and Dog, the collection of novellas A New and Glorious Life, and two previous essay collections, The Middle of Everything and Stories We Tell Ourselves (long-listed for the 2014 PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award for the Art of the Essay), as well as a just-out book for children, A Girl's Guide to Life. A new novel, Devotion, is due in 2016. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she has lived for many years in Columbus, Ohio, where she directs the MFA Program in Creative Writing at The Ohio State University, and sings and serves with the 200-voice choir and arts & community service organization, The Harmony Project.
