"Play and Display" Exhibition
Time: All day
Event Host: Hopkins Hall Gallery
Reception: Thursday, July 9, 3-4 p.m.Heather Kaplan, a doctoral student in the Department of Arts Administration, Education, and Policy at Ohio State, is interested in the intersections of play and art-making. Through Play and Display, Kaplan stretches these notions of play and art-making through audience interaction. Revolving around play and experimentation, the pieces she creates convey a language of toys and collectibles that beg to be arranged and rearranged. For this exhibition, the audience has the opportunity to play with the work through areas where they can make, play, move, and create. For more information, visit the Hopkins Hall Gallery website.
