Philip Pettit, Laurance S. Rockefeller University Professor of Politics and Human Values at Princeton University, presents “Justice, Social and Political”. Drawing from his recently published book Just Freedom: A Moral Compass for a Complex World, Pettit will discuss the tension between democracy and social justice and argue that a certain version of democracy should have priority.

Pettit’s talk is part of the Political Science Department’s Political Theory Workshop and is co-sponsored by the Center for Ethics and Human Values and the Department of Philosophy.
