High Street Columbus, Ohio Featuring internationally recognized suicidologists: David A. Jobes, PhD, ABPP, Professor and Associate Director of Clinical Training at Catholic University of America. Madelyn Gould, PhD, MPH, Professor Epidemiology in Psychiatry at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Research Scientist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. The Second Annual Suicide Prevention Conference will be a statewide symposium focused on strategies, advancements and outcomes regarding suicide prevention. Attendees Can Expect: A practical training in state of the art suicide assessment and intervention A presentation of best practices to prevent suicide at both individual and population levels A summary of empirical evidence for suicide contagion and review of best media practices for appropriate reporting of suicide deaths A review of Ohio's standing in relation to other states in preventing suicide Register here.
