Ohio State astronomer and planet-hunter Scott Gaudi will lead his audience on a tour of worlds outside our solar system during his Science Sundays lecture on October 16.
Gaudi collaborates with international teams of astronomers who are searching for "the pale blue dot," earth-like planets outside our solar system capable of supporting life.
Science Sundays is a new monthly public lecture series presented by the College of Arts and Sciences' Research Centers and Institutes to educate and inform the public about a variety of timely and interesting science topics. All lectures are free, open to the public, and are presented by well-known experts in their fields from both on and off campus. A reception immediately follows each lecture; all are invited to attend, meet the speakers, ask questions, and enjoy a lively social hour.
