Presented by multimedia producer, photojournalist, and adjunct professor of photography at Columbus State Community College, Christina Paolucci, this 25 On High presentation will cover images from the past eras to the present day that demonstrate this most un-manipulated form. Works by original masters such as Eugene Atget, Alfred Stieglitz, Henri Cartier-Bresson to later contributors Berenice Abbott, Walker Evans, Diane Arbus, Robert Frank and Garry Winogrand to current virtuosos like Alex Webb and the newly discovered work of the late and unknown Vivian Maier will be examined. The talk will also offer information about what cameras are typically used and how you can create your own street photographs in the public landscape with a steadfast style, sometimes known as “shooting from the hip,” in this camera-conscious world.
