Arts and Sciences Honors Program
The Arts and Sciences Honors Program provides a stimulating and diverse educational environment in which even the most accomplished students have numerous, diverse, and challenging opportunities to examine and develop their interests, talents, and intellectual capabilities at all stages of their college career. The program brings together an outstanding faculty, rigorous courses, and co-curricular and extracurricular programming to ensure students are challenged and achieve excellence. Creativity, imagination, commitment, and integrity are espoused, encouraged, and expected by and from all participants.

Faculty Advisory Council
Purpose:
To act on behalf of all Arts and Sciences faculty in bringing matters of collective interest to the attention of the Executive Dean.
Representing a faculty voice, the FAC will seek:
- to promote a sense of community within the varied disciplines of arts and sciences
- to foster transparency, mutual respect, and representative participation
- to ensure shared commitment and accountability to the goals of the entire College

The SAC is comprised of 15 regular staff members from across Arts and Sciences who applied and were selected for one- or two-year staggered terms beginning July 2011. This diverse council will be convened to advise administration on staff issues, administer staff awards, and facilitate staff development grants, among other tasks.
The SAC meetings will be held in room 156 University Hall.
Co-chairs of the Staff Advisory Council for 2011-2012 are:
