Join the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD) for their annual Open House.
See new works in computer animation, virtual environments, gaming, motion capture, visualization, sonic arts, mediated performance and interactivity.
Once each year the public is invited to discover the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD), one of the first computer graphics centers in the world. Guests are encouraged to explore the center at their own pace, observe, ask questions and physically interact with demos that typically include digital media performances, educational games, 3D animated films, virtual worlds, 3D tracking devices, motion capture technology and more.
Visitors meet a dedicated community of graduate students, faculty and staff from various core disciplines across campus. ACCAD is known for specializing in synergistic research and relationships, and "tour guides" could include collaborators from: dance, design, computer science, music, art, education, anatomy and architecture. All are welcome to attend.
Free and open to the public.
