Harris, viola; Jeanne Norton, harp; all members of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra. The celebrated trio COSMOS features Katherine Borst Jones, flute; Mary E.M. Harris, viola; Jeanne Norton, harp; all members of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra. Formed in 2004, the trio has appeared on performance series and at conventions throughout the country. Their program will feature the iconic Debussy Sonata (1915). One of six sonatas written for various combinations of instruments, this sonata is the most famous and beloved piece in the repertoire for flute, viola and harp. The program will also include Harbord Street (1991) by Milton Barnes, Suite Popular Espanola by Manuel Moreno-Buendía and two pieces that COSMOS originally commissioned and premiered: Trio in Four Movements (2006) by Libby Larsen and A Columbus Triptych (2006) by Stephen Main.  For more information, visit the School of Music.
