Ingrid Hehmeyer, associate professor in history of science and technology at Ryerson University in Ontario, will speak on "Hydraulic Engineering and Water Management Under Harsh Conditions: Ancient and Modern Lessons From Yemen." Joy McCorriston, professor of anthropology, with serve as discussant. A lunch conversation in which Hehmeyer will discuss her fieldwork process in Yemen will be held for graduate students after the talk.
