Short Description: Jacinda Townsend, an author from Southcentral Kentucky, will be speaking this Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 2:30 p.m. in 311 Denney Hall. Her novel, Saint Monkey (2014), is set in 1950's Eastern Kentucky and follows the lives of two girls growing up in the Black community shortly after the Korean War. Her novels focus on political issues and are firmly planted in African American and feminist traditions.
