Short Description: Following the conclusion of her Ysaÿe sonatas project, Kia-Hui Tan, with DMA student Snow Shen, will present Ysaÿe’s rarely-performed Sonata for Two Violins in celebration of its 100th anniversary. To celebrate her 40th birthday and a decade of teaching at Ohio State, Tan will be joined by alumni fellows Juan Carlos Ortega (Honegger’s Sonatine for Two Violins) and Samuel Johnson (Ravel's Duo for Violin and Cello).
