Short Description: This is a two part event series addressing social policies and practices critical to the creation of economic equity and justice.

This is a two part event series addressing social policies and practices critical to the creation of economic equity and justice.

Part 1 from 9-11 a.m.: Symposium addressing policies and legal practices designed to enhance economic equity. This symposium in partnership with the NAACP will be an examination of Black business over the course of the past 20 years or more. While few may  have understood our keynote speaker, Federal Judge Graham's  reasoning at the time, in retrospect looking at the current data we could say that it was not only insightful, but prophetic as well. Judge Graham will share his thinking at the morning session in order to help us begin raising the level of discourse regarding so-called 'minority set-asides', providing the opportunity for greater depth and creation of a new narrative.

Part 2 from 12- 2 p.m.: Public Forum examining legally recognized discrimination and utilizing appropriate governmental resources to address and combat it.
