Short Description: Dr. Arthur James, associate clinical professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center will be the keynote speaker at the “Save Our Babies, Save Ourselves” program at the African American and African Studies Community Extension Center. Dr. Linda James Myers, professor in the Department of African American and African Studies and Director of the CEC, will serve as the solutions facilitator, emphasizing their new initiative, “Cultural Enrichment and Enhancement of Individual and Collective Health and Sustainable Well Being.”


Infant mortality is a key indicator of how healthy a society is, and Ohio has the worst birth outcomes in the nation, and Franklin County the worst in the state. Dr. Arthur James, associate clinical professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center will be the keynote speaker at the “Save Our Babies, Save Ourselves” program at the African American and African Studies Community Extension Center.
