Short Description: The GradSem includes students at every stage of study from across the University who meet monthly for lunch and a student-organized program and discussion.
The GradSem includes students at every stage of study from across the University who meet monthly for lunch and a student-organized program and discussion. The meeting on November 4 is about service learning. Service learning seeks to increase awareness of civic duty by combining guided classroom instruction with community service, often by promoting literacy. What are some of the common approaches? Who benefits and how? What kinds of reading and writing are valued? Participation in the GradSem is open to all students with an interest in literacy and its study. Contact Michael Harwick.
