Artists in the Garden. . . at UAS
This Friday (July 20), 10 artists will be allowed access to the downtown Lazarus building's Rooftop Garden (50 West Town St.) to be inspired and create new works of art at the inaugural meeting of Artists in the Garden. The Urban Arts Space invites artists to create work using the inspiring view of Columbus from the garden.
The Urban Arts Space hopes to share with artists in the community its breathtaking view of downtown, the riverfront and surrounding neighborhoods as well as the unique beauty of the green roof. Artists are invited to experience, inhabit, and create work in the garden in any medium, including painting, photography, sculpture, music, dance, video, written word, and beyond. Based on the interest of the group, Artists in the Garden may become a reoccurring program, with opportunities to present work created on the roof.
