Boo! College of Arts and Sciences gets in the Spirit of Halloween

The College of Arts and Sciences has some treats for you, in the spirit of the Halloween season! No, we’re not giving away candy corn or baking pumpkin cookies but we do have some spooky-themed activities coming up:

The Center for the Study and Teaching of Writing (CSTW) hosts its fourth annual Halloween-themed Writers Talk radio show October 26 and 29. According to host Doug Dangler, the show will feature stories by alumna Cate Fricke (MFA, Creative Writing, 2011), performed by Arts and Sciences students. Readers/performers include students Trenton Rowland (theatre) and Michael Lee (psychology). Theatre staffer Beth Josephsen Simon and Fricke herself also will contribute to the dialogue. And Paul Kotheimer, ASC technology, recorded the students and assisted with audio restoration.

The Halloween Writers Talk airs on WCBE (90.5 FM) at midnight on Friday, October 26, and at 7 pm Sunday, October 29, on WCRS (98.3 and 102.1 FM). It’s also available on the iTunes U site
