First year graduate student Ani Javian's choreography and performace of her solo Ruby, and visiting lecturer Abigail Zbikowski's work Striking Space were both chosen among the best in the region at the American College Dance Festival Association's East-Central Conference in late February in Rochester Hills, Michigan. The pieces were selected to be performed as part of the gala concert, which was the culminating event of a week-long dance festival of classes and adjudicated performances. Striking Space was performed by dance undergraduate students Lauren Bedal, Elaine Berman, Jenn Clancy, Karyl Bell and Lindsay Deitchman (pictured, back stage).
