Faculty Selected U.S. Fulbright Scholars and Specialist

Three College of Arts and Sciences faculty members have been selected as recipients of prestigious Fulbright fellowships and another faculty member has been chosen as a U.S. Fulbright Specialist.

The Council for International Exchange of Scholars, which administers the program for the U.S. Department of State, selects recipients. Fulbright Scholar Programs offer U.S. faculty, administrators and professionals grants to lecture, do research or participate in seminars. Approximately 1,100 American scholars and professionals go to approximately 125 countries every year.

The Fulbright Specialist Program is a short-term complement to the Fulbright Scholar Program and sends U.S. faculty and professionals to serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning and related subjects at overseas academic institutions for a period of two to six weeks.
