Ohio State Alumnus R.L. Stine Gives Autumn Commencement Address

Goosebumps series author R.L. Stine encouraged Ohio State graduates to seize opportunities in life during his address at the 2013 Ohio State Autumn Commencement ceremony Sunday, December 15. Stine also told graduates not to take themselves too seriously and to keep a sense of humor, according to a report in The Lantern.

“Just say yes. Say yes to everything,” Stine, an Ohio State alumnus (1965, English) and Bexley native, said in his address. In 2012 Stine was honored with an Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award from the College of Arts and Sciences.

More than 3,200 students received degrees, and about 2,400 walked at commencement at the Schottenstein Center.
