PRSSA Chapter Receives Gift

David Bartosic (journalism, 1975), retired communications director at the Ohio Trucking Association, made a gift of more than $4,000 to the Ohio State chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), on behalf of the former OSU Journalism School Alumni Society. The gift is to support student programming.

PRSSA is a pre-professional organization for students interested in careers in public relations, event planning, media relations, communications, public affairs, advertising, marketing, or online communications after graduation. Ohio State's chapter consists of students from a variety of majors, such as communication, journalism, marketing, psychology, and English, and all years, freshmen through seniors.

The Ohio State University was one of the original nine schools to host a PRSSA Chapter, granted a charter on April 4, 1968. Ohio State's chapters is known as the The Walt Seifert Chapter.

Ohio State's PRSSA chapter meets biweekly to hold educational programs, visit local and regional public relations firms and media outlets and provide opportunities for social interaction with students of like interests and career goals. .
