Staff Advisory Council Call for Applications
The Recruitment and Membership subcommittee of the Arts and Sciences Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is receiving applications from arts and sciences staff to serve on the SAC for the term July 2013 to June 2015.
The SAC is comprised of 15 regular staff members from across arts and sciences. This diverse council advises administration on staff issues, administers staff awards, and facilitates staff development grants, among other tasks.
Co-chairs of the Staff Advisory Council for 2012-2013 are Wayne Lovely (Department of Greek and Latin) and Melinda Bogarty (Department of African American and African Studies).
Some of the highlights of the SAC over the last year include creating a new staff resource page, celebrating staff through the annual Staff Awards Lunch, hosting the Homecoming Cookout and Cornhole Tournament, conducting the second annual Operation Brownie staff apprication event, and holding the annual SAC Pancake Breakfasts.
