Time and Place: An International Exhibition of Works on Paper

Recognizing both the Columbus bicentennial and the 20th anniversary of the Sister City program between Columbus, OH, and Dresden, Germany, Time and Place: An International Exhibition of Works on Paper features works by German and Ohio artists who have participated in the Dresden/Columbus printmaking exchange, a program facilitated by the Ohio Arts Council. Representatives from the partnership traveled to Dresden in June for the Standehaus Gallery opening of Time and Place, which will open at the Urban Arts Space on August 14. A two-day printmaking symposium will be held in September in conjunction with the exhibition, hosted by the Columbus-based Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative and The Ohio State University Department of Art. Phoenix Rising is also coordinating an simultaneous exhibition at the Urban Arts Space of the four Ohio printmaking cooperatives reflecting upon the idea of the horizon line.
