Diversity Services
At Ohio State we want all of our students to feel at home on our campus, and we want all of our students to have every opportunity to attain their academic potential. The Diversity Services Office provides college-based academic advising to students enrolled in the Colleges of the Arts and Sciences.
Pre-Professional Advising (Pre-Law, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Health, Pre-Education)
“Pre-professional” is a category for students who intend to enter a professional school after graduating with their bachelor’s degrees. These designations are officially-recognized areas of interest at Ohio State, but are not majors.
Admission to professional schools is very competitive, and Arts and Sciences counselors can help you meet pre-professional requirements while you complete your undergraduate degree. These counselors help you select the appropriate course work and apply to professional programs; they can also provide information about graduate-level standardized testing. We suggest that you inform your Arts and Sciences academic counselors of your interest in considering one of these fields.
