Diversity Scholarships
Anne H. Baumhofer Scholarship Fund
This fund support students majoring in microbiology with preference given to students from traditionally underrepresented groups who would enhance diversity at the college. A listing of additional merit and/or need-based college funds as well as a link to the online application may be found here.
Carole Hershey Walters Endowed Scholarship Fund
Scholarships are awarded to further diversity with an emphasis on female students majoring in a biological science. Recipients must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. A listing of additional merit and/or need-based college funds as well as a link to the online application may be found here.
Diversity and Identity Studies Collective (DISCO) at OSU Scholarship Fund
The Diversity and Identity Studies Collective at Ohio State (DISCO) offers scholarships to support students who are pursuing a minor or, where relevant, a major in one of the DISCO interdisciplinary programs including: American Indian Studies, Asian American Studies, Disability Studies, Latino/a Studies, and/or Sexuality Studies. Scholarships are to be used for academic purposes, including but not limited to tuition and fees, study abroad, travel to conferences and research sites, and research materials. Dr. Elizabeth Wagner Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships to student majoring in Plant Biology with preference given to women undergraduate students. A listing of additional merit and/or need-based college funds as well as a link to the online application may be found here.
Katherine E. Kendrick Scholarship Fund
This fund supports minority students majoring in microbiology. A listing of additional merit and/or need-based college funds as well as a link to the online application may be found here.
Kathryn Sullivan Scholarship
This scholarship supports undergraduate Arts and Sciences students with a preference for junior or senior women who are majoring or minoring in the sciences, who have a passion for exploration and/or aerospace, and who are in good academic standing; however, this scholarship may be awarded to any candidate in any Arts and Sciences major. This fund will enable a student to perform undergraduate research or field work conducted in conjunction with a faculty member, or attend/present at a significant conference. Rising Star Award
The Rising Star award is administered by the College of Arts and Sciences Diversity Services Office. This award is designed to recognize Arts and Sciences undergraduate students, who are concluding their first year at Ohio State and who have demonstrated active involvement in on- and off-campus organizations as well as academic excellence and personal initiative. Roth Family Endowment
To encourage the international travel of undergraduate Arts and Sciences students who are active in the Diversity Services Office Program for Advising in Scholarship and Service (PASS) or PASS Beyond. Recipients agree to make two presentations about their travel to approved groups upon their return. Theodore Suie, Jr. Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarships based upon scholastic achievement to students majoring in biological sciences who have financial need. Further consideration, where possible, is to be given to students who are orphans.
