Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Scholarships

For students who have attained junior standing and meet one of the following criteria: be a potential candidate for graduation with research distinction; or present other evidence of work on a significant research project.  The scholarships, which range from $500 to approximately $9,000, may be allocated over summer, autumn, winter and spring quarters.  The funds automatically will go toward the payment of university tuition and fees, with any remainder being available to recipients after the fifth week of the quarter.  Applicants are required to have a faculty sponsor with whom they work to devise and refine a proposal, and who will be responsible for overseeing the project once it is underway.  The faculty project advisor will also assist the student with writing the mid-project progress report to be submitted to the Honors Office.  Applications are available in the Honors Office, 207 Enarson Hall.  The deadlines for applications are October 21, 2011 and April 6, 2012 by 5:00 P.M.
