This is a conversation that features recipients of the Susan Pratt Munthe Fund for Latin American Studies, which was established in June, 2014 with gifts from Susan Pratt Munthe (BA 1974). This endowed fund provides graduate students valuable resources in support of their research interests in Latin American Studies. Former award recipients, Olivia Cosentino (PhD candidate; MA 2016) and Justin Pinta (PhD candidate), share how this fund helped them work toward their dissertations.


A conversation with recipients of the Harold A. Black Endowed Scholarship Fund for Economics

This is a conversation that features the recipients of the Harold A. Black Endowed Scholarship Fund for Economics, which was established in 2018 through the generous gift from alumnus Harold A. Black. This endowed scholarship is Intended to acknowledge Undergraduate Economics Majors who have overcome substantial educational or economic obstacles and also have potential for graduate work.

Dr. Michael Poirier, current chair of the Department of Physics, recounts how Clark's leadership during her tenure still resonates with the department today. Graduate students Natalie Harrison and Dennis Calderon-Madera share how the Bunny and Thomas Clark Scholarship Endowment Fund (established by Clark and her husband) and the Bunny C. Clark Student Support Fund (established in Clark’s memory by her colleague and friend Robert Mercer and the Mercer Family Foundation) supports their coursework and research.

Graduate student Erin Hoppe (Arts Administration, Education and Policy) visits with Tyla Daniel (Theatre/Communication), Caitlyn Higley (Dance) and Devin Sheller (Music Education) to discuss how donor support is assisting them this year – a year like no other. Hear how the performing arts in particular have found creative ways to support teaching, learning and creative expression.

Our panel today reflects on the future of the arts at Ohio State – celebrating the on-going construction of new state-of-the-art facilities for Music, Theatre and Moving Image Production, which will complete a multi-year plan that creates an arts gateway to the Columbus Campus.
