Panel: "How to Do the History of Sexuality": Perspectives from Three New Faculty Members in the Department of History Featuring Clayton Howard, Assistant Professor of History; Katherine Marino, Assistant Professor of History and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; and Daniel Rivers, Assistant Professor of History.
This panel will review some of the challenges of doing research on the history of sexuality as well as some of the issues that arise in efforts to legitimate the field within the larger discipline of History. Th e panelists will also provide examples of historical methods and approaches to writing the history of sexuality taken from their current research projects.
