Time: 7 p.m.

Short Description: One of the first animated films to employ real-time rendering with the Unity game engine, Sonder is about the emotional journey we all experience following the end of a relationship — from grief and denial to acceptance and growth.

One of the first animated films to employ real-time rendering with the Unity game engine, Sonder considers the emotional journey that follows the end of a relationship. After his years-long relationship with Natalie comes to an end, Finn finds himself lost in a mysterious land, trying to find the strength to move on.

A discussion with creators Neth Nom (Toy Story 3, Brave, and Monsters University) and Andrea Goh (Coco, Cars 3, and Incredibles 2) moderated by Ohio State Department of Design Assistant Professor Kyoung Lee Swearingen, who also worked on the film, follows the screening. (13 mins., digital video; program approx. 60 mins.)
