Steve Martino, a director of this summer’s Ice Age: Continental Drift as well as Horton Hears a Who! (2008), introduces and discusses clips from these films and more in a lively and fascinating behind-the-scenes look at studio animation. Martino also served as art director on Robots (2005) and the Ice Age short, Gone Nutty (2002). Getting his start at Ohio State with a bachelor’s degree in visual communication design in 1981 and his studying at Ohio State’s celebrated Computer Graphics Research Group (now ACCAD) while working on his master's degree in 1989, he has ridden the wave of computer animation for nearly 30 years.
