Wendy Pfeffer is Professor of French in Classical & Modern Languages and Associate Dean for Graduate Education, College of Arts and Sciences, University of Louisville. Her forthcoming book on the intersections of medieval food, culture, and writing is Le Festin du troubadour: La nourriture, la société et la littérature médiévale en Occitanie, 1100-1500. She has served as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Tenso since 1986. She was knighted a Chevalier in the Ordre des arts et des lettres by the French government in 2005.
