Edith Hall will give a lecture on “Aristotle at the Cinema” on Monday, October 16 (Ohio Union, Great Hall, at 3:30).
Professor Hall, who has a doctorate from Oxford and an Honorary Degree from the University of Athens, teaches in the Classics Department and Center for Hellenic Studies at King’s College, London. She is a Hellenist who has worked and published on a wide variety of topics in classical literature and its continuing impact in the modern world. Most recently, she has won a grant from the British Arts and Humanities Research Council as Leadership Fellow in a project on “Teaching Classical Civilization: Recording the Past and Fostering the Future.”
