Do you have a career goal to pursue Human Resources and want an opportunity to talk to potential employers? If you answered yes, this event is for you! Explore and discuss opportunities within the Human Resources industry by speaking with employers in the field. Your career choices are endless and include, among others: Talent Development, Recruiting, HR Business Partner, Compensation and Benefits Consultant, and more! Our panelists come from a number of industries and are able to help you better understand this exciting and diverse industry: Marty Remle: Marty Remle is a Human Resources professional in Columbus, OH.  He retired from the United States Navy in 2012 after 20 years as a firefighter, where he learned the importance of teamwork and enjoyed mentoring junior Sailors in reaching their own goals.  After moving to Columbus, OH, Marty worked in the manufacturing and distribution industries in supervisory roles.  He landed his most important human resources position in 2015 as Human Resources Assistant for Alene Candles in New Albany, OH, due to his ability to make his future manager laugh.  His current position is Human Resources Coordinator for ABC6 / FOX28 / TheCW television stations in Columbus, OH.  Marty believes it is the perfect position for him to use his ability to build personal relationships and support his co-workers in creating the best live news programming possible. Katherine Schuette: Katherine Schuette is an accomplished Human Resources Professional with 10 years of diverse leadership experience. Katherine started her career in the U.S. Army, where as a Military Intelligence Officer, she served in a variety of roles including Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Staff Officer. Currently Katherine serves as the HR Generalist for the Columbus Blue Jackets. In her role, she is responsible for managing a variety of HR functions including employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment and employment law compliance. Katherine is passionate about being a change agent both in her professional and personal life. Katherine’s goal is to help individuals and organization’s see change as an opportunity to grow and thrive rather than a burden. In her personal time Katherine takes an active role in her community by advocating for women’s rights. Katherine earned a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Human Resources Management from Texas A&M – Central Texas. Sara Frank: Sara Frank is an experienced business consultant specializing in supporting small businesses’ Human Resource (HR) needs. In addition, she has extensive experience in areas of leadership development, management and executive coaching, performance management strategies, and career coaching for individuals as well as recruiters. She has 2 professional certifications (PHR and SHRM-CP), and can administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). She is also a Diversity & Inclusion Practitioner. Megan Willman: Megan is a Lead Recruiter at Candid. A dynamic, versatile, and ethical Human Resources professional with extensive experience recruiting and staffing high-caliber professionals in varied industries. Extremely detail-oriented individual who utilizes a proactive approach in recruiting. Possess excellent organizational skills, leadership skills, written/verbal communication skills, and an innate ability to build rapport with candidates and colleagues. Tenacious in creating and driving new business initiatives and developing efficient processes. Exhibits a continuous desire to learn, grow and enhance professional skills.
