Short Description: Join the Department of African American and African Studies for the film "Selma," which chronicles Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s campaign to secure equal voting rights via an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, in 1965. Pizza and beverages will be served.
The Department of African American and African Studies, along with the Office of Student Life's Multicultural Center, presents the series: Black Movements in Film. On Monday, Feb. 26, join the department for the film "Selma," which chronicles Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s campaign to secure equal voting rights via an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, in 1965.
A discussion led by Dr. Linda James Myers will follow the screening. Pizza and beverages will be served.
