The Department of English will host guest speaker Aaron Kopp on Thursday, January 10, 2-4 p.m. in the Frank W. Hale, Jr., Black Cultural Center, 154 W. 12th Avenue. The event will honor the Liyana filmmakers’ work, together with Executive Producer Thandie Newton and artist-animator Shofela Coker, in creating a new language in film—particularly in how the film develops a new way to talk about trauma and teaches about human rights.
The event will be open to the Ohio State community and public and is co-sponsored by Department of English and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
