Information Literacy Virtual Workshop Series: Exploring Information Literacy and Social Justice
Date: Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021
Time: 12-1 p.m.
Host: University Libraries
Information literacy is about more than being able to use a database or cite a source. It also incorporates critical consideration of the systems by which information is created, accessed, disseminated, used and valued. In this workshop, part of the University Libraries Information Literacy Virtual Workshop Series, you will have a chance to explore the connections between information literacy and social justice. You will leave with ideas for activities that you can use to help students approach information with a critical, justice-oriented mindset.
