The positions can be filled by students during the academic year and over the summer. They range from community and public relations interns, to summer recreation aides, event planners, social media managers, policy and communications interns, etc. The Parks and Rec department will share details about these roles, what it takes to be successful when applying for and filling them, as well as what it is like to work in the field of Parks and Recreation. They are looking for students of ALL majors and grade levels to apply. They prefer applicants that have a commitment to customer service, an interest in working outdoors, an ability to manage projects and deadlines, and excellent communication skills, including writing and editing.
