Event Host: ASC Career Success
This Information Session is open to all Ohio State students . It is hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences Career Success Center, and the Center for Languages, Literatures and Cultures.
The session will be run by Lou Fintor, Diplomat in Residence of the North Central Region
The U.S. Department of State’s North Central Region Diplomat in Residence Lou Fintor will discuss careers with the State Department and how you can serve your country by living and working in any one of more than 270 U.S. embassies, consulates or missions overseas, or in Washington, D.C. and other domestic locations. Career paths include Foreign Service Officer and Civil Service as well as numerous Student Program opportunities. Lou is an active Foreign Service Officer who has served as U.S. Embassy Spokesperson twice in Afghanistan (2005-2006 and 2016-2018), as well as in Pakistan, Iraq, Yemen, Kosovo and at the U.S. Mission to NATO among other overseas postings.
